Confrontational customer service today: after station attendant washed my car windshield while I was pumping gas, the guy asked if I had full-coverage car insurance. What the hell does that have to do with my pumping gas or him washing my windshield? So, I thanked him for washing my windshield the 3 times he asked if I had full-coverage car insurance.

And the guy eventually got pissed and finally said, “It’s a simple question, why won’t you just answer it?” “Thanks for the windshield wash,” I said. The fact that he got all confrontational proves that he wasn’t trying to make my life better - only his.
It doesn’t matter if the other person gets upset. Don’t be intimidated! It’s your life. You decide where to put your energy!
